The Haiku Stairs lead 3,922 steps up the Koolau Pali to the 2800-foot summit of Puu Keahiakahoe overlooking Haiku Valley.

A legacy of WWII, the Stairs ascend through cliffs and hillsides rich with native species of plants, habitat for native birds. On a clear day, the view from the top sweeps in most of Windward Oahu, Pearl Harbor, and parts of the Leeward side.

The Friends of Haiku Stairs, a non-profit corporation, is working with local government agencies to help preserve and maintain the Stairs as a unique educational and recreational resource for public use.

We need your help to obtain and manage public access to the Stairs and to help protect this unique and fragile resource.
